Mike Brown has put a presentation on web standards online: http://govis.signify.co.nz It is plain and simple without being boring... This is his original post: Mike I hate to do the "best viewed in" thing , but it's best viewed in Mozilla/Firefox in fullscreen mode. It uses Eric Meyer's S5 presentation thingie. If you print out, or look in print preview, there's speaking notes for each slide. It takes a slightly different tack to other arguments I've seen for web standards and even has a Pulp Fiction theme /Mike |

I wonder if he has permission to use that image? |

I wonder if he has permission to use that image? I doubt Tarantino is going to hunt someone down for using an image from his film in a 'powerpoint' presentation on web standards. ;o) (Also, this seems to qualify as parody. ;o) -Darrel |

Parody or not, it's still a strict copyright violation without permission. |

Parody is completely valid. |

Parody or not, it's still a strict copyright violation without permission. Parody is completely valid. But again, there's no point in us debating it. It's between Tarantino's and Mike's lawyers, not to mention international copyright organizations and laws and likely their referees and such and blah, blah, blah... -Darrel |

So I can use any copyright image or content in a parody without asking permission? |
