Default Web Site Viewing - 11-05-2004 , 10:53 PM

Hello,

I have completed designing my webpage, and would now like to make it public. I
have put all the files into my ftp server etc... whenever i visit the url, the
page works, but when anyone else goes to it, all it has is some messed up text.
am i missing something? any ideas?

Thank you,
Elliot

Your style sheet and your images are all referenced on YOUR computer, not on
the web site. They all have links that begin with:

file:///C|/Documents%20and%20Settings/Elliot%20Simon/My%20Documents/Rachael%20Photos/

Did you define a site?
Is the directory above, the root directory of that site?

If yes to both of those, re-make the links.

Gary

hey thanks a lot, i changed the links to the web server, but it still
doesnt
work. there is a file

(file:///C|/Documents%20and%20Settings/Elliot%20Simon/My%20Documents/Rachael
%20P
Quote:
hotos/pageNav)
That is specified in the code, but it is not in the folder. I thought it
might
be hidden, but i choose "show hidden files" it did not come up. when i
tried to
run it it said file could not be located.
Change all that from:

href="file:///C|/Documents%20and%20Settings/Elliot%20Simon/My%20Documents/Ra
chael%20Photos/pageNav"

To this:

href="#pageNav"
