Default Watch video of how I need my navigation to work. - 03-30-2009 , 10:21 PM

Question - How do I create this certain type of navigation on this website seen
in this video?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8LggOyA1W1M

I'm not a programmer, but I'm proficient in Photoshop slicing and Dreamweaver
CS4. I know bit of html coding and CSS editing. I have tried using Spry Menu
Bar, and Spry Tabbed Panels with no success. Would a image map work? Is there a
way to do it with swap image slices from Photoshop for the multiple sub menu
sections? Another solution? Please take a look at this 6 min you tube video I
created and let me know if you have any solutions.

<object width="480" height="295"><param name="movie"
value="http://www.youtube.com/v/8LggOyA1W1M&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param
name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess"
value="always"></param><embed
src="http://www.youtube.com/v/8LggOyA1W1M&hl=en&fs=1"
type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always"
allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="295"></embed></object>

If you can actually help me out I will PAY you for your time.
Please email me at jay (AT) jaymontgomery (DOT) com or call me at 770-309-6004.

Check the PVII site for their TabMenuMagic extension. It can get you almost
all the way there.

Forget project seven do a google search and find what you're looking for for free.

Murray *ACE* - Thanks for your reply, however the main element needed is the
vertical line showing up on the top categories and the bottom categories. I did
not see any at projectseven.com template that did that. Plus I need to be able
to have that exact tan texture graphic in the backgrounds. Could you give me an
exact link to the one you are referring to or create one custom for me?

Thanks,
Jay

Ok so I had a little time to search for you only because I don't think you
should wa$te your money buying something from projectseven that you could find
for free.

Check out http://widgets.cyclosaurus.com/DropMenu/onMouseover.html view
source or do a search for javascript drop down sub menu.

Why so offensive in expressing your opinion?

Jay:

Adding that feature to a TabMenu would be relatively trivial. What I'm not
so sure about is the multiple line submenus. The great thing about PVII
stuff is the extent to which they will go out of their way to help you use
their stuff in your particular application. Please disregard the negative
comments. I have known Al Sparber for many years and wouldn't think of
doing web work without his very valuable and extremely well-built
extensions.

OP would hardly be wasting his/her money. If you actually bill by the
hour for your work those menus will earn quite a lot with the first
site. YMMV, of course.

The one you linked to doesn't work with javascript turned off, and when
you return to the hover examples from the hover examples, the whole
thing is horked.

In regard to projectseven. All I'm am saying is there are free resources
available that may want to be explored before spending money on something that
can be found for free. There is nothing so offensive in expressing my opinion
of searching for free resources before spending money as some may have
misperceived.
