is any of the code highlighted in yellow?
No. It doesn't allow me to even display code.

url address to a page that doesn't show in design view.
It does it on any URL, like i said, regardless, it WON'T allow me to view any
code I've copy/paste.

I just found out that even if I write a basic HTML script or similar it is still NOT allowing me to view design or vis versa. What is going on?

We can shovel guesses back and forth all day, but without seeing the code on
one of these pages it will likely be impossible to give you an answer.

I've just explained that it is doing it on every website source, it doesn't
matter what website, it won't allow me to change from design to code and vis
versa. I also said writing a basic HTML script does the same thing, so that
should explain to you what I mean I hope?

Yes. Thanks.

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the product? It's been quite a
few years since I last used DW4, so I don't have any way to troubleshoot for
you. Unfortunately, the product is no longer supported by Macromedia,
either....

so put one of these pages online somewhere and let us see it. That is
the only way ANYONE can see if the pages are the problem or your
application or system is at fault.

I don't get it, I said that I could write the most simplest HTML code and it
STILL won't allow me to see the design. I could pick any website page and it
won't allow me to see the design. Having said that I do have some pages that do
the reverse where I only see the design page but not allowed to see the code.

Sorry but I'm so frustrated with this...
