Very strange and very annoying bug!

This may take some explaining, please bear with me.

1: I am running the most update version of Dreamweaver MX 2004 (7.1).

2: I have installed this directly on my remote server, Windows 2003 web
edition - and I work via Remote Desktop (no uploading required).

3: This problem only applies to ASP files which are NOT in the root folder
of the web site.


Here goes:
When I edit an ASP file, and press SAVE - the changes will not take effect
on the web site. I can refresh, visit on any other PC, tried EVERYTHING -
the file will not update.

I then open NOTEPAD, and open the file I have just saved with NOTEPAD - I
make NO changes, choose FILE / SAVE within notepad, and the changes are
displayed.

It feels like Notepad is telling the server that the file has changed,
whereas Dreamweaver is failing to do this.

Needless to say, its very tiresome to have to open notepad and save a file
after every change.

Remember, only ASP files, and only files which are one or two levels up from
site root.
