Default validation help - 09-20-2006 , 05:00 PM

Could someone please help me to validate this page. I cannot figure out what they are asking me to do. Thanks.

They're asking you to REMOVE the attribute bg="ffffff" on line 294, and
REMOVE the attribute height="63" on line 295. Whilst you're in there, remove
the colon from the background attribute on that line.

Neither atttribute is supported by the 4.01 Transitional specification.

Revalidate, and handle the errors that then appear - there will be some.

Full marks for trying to write code that is valid. A good HTML/CSS manual
will help immensely with this, rather than hoping DW will do it for you.

HTH,

Pete.

Thank you for your help. I do try to read but sometime i just get discouraged.
This has all been a lot for me to learn. I did fix another error but I am
curious about one more.

Error Line 299 column 27: there is no attribute "BACKGROUND".

<td height="27" background="Images/Skowtop7.gif">[i][b]MSAD#54 Skowhegan

If I take out the background here I loose my image.
Thanks,
Nancy

The message is telling you to use CSS.
