uploading to servers via dreamweavermx.

I see I have landed among deamweaver experts here , however I have a question
for you I have uploaded two sites to two different servers successively. Now a
new server and my pages do not go where they should go. I edit sites thesame
everything works the connections ---connect in edit. all correct. But no show
on this new server .Has anyone got a clue please.

I suspect you need to be specifying which directory you need to be uploading
to. Many (or most?) servers automatically put you into the correct
directory, but in some cases you need to specify it as the HOST DIRECTORY.
First, check out these tech notes, especially the part that talks about the
Host Directory
(http://www.macromedia.com/support/dreamweaver/ts/documents/troubleshooting_ftp.htm).
If that doesn't do it, check with your site host company to find out into
which directory you need to put your files.
