Uploading Files

After I finish editing my webpages and save changes in DW, I press the "Put
Files" button in the "Files" tab on the right hand side of the screen. This in
turn, uploads the entire site (even past files no longer on the site) so I can
view them on the internet.

Is there an easier way to edit pages, and not have to re-upload the entire
site?

I am obviously new to this product.

This will occur if your cursor in the Files panel selects the root folder
(begins with "Site - ") in the Files tab.

DW is assuming that you want to upload the root folder plus everything
inside the root folder i.e. the entire site. It should also pop up a
dialogue box asking you to confirm that you want to upload the entire site.
Obviously you don't.

If you click on any other folder in the Files tab, that folder only, plus
files and folders inside that folder will be uploaded.

For more sophisticated uploading, click the small icon on the RHS of the top
of the Files tab and select Edit.
You then have a range of options of what you want to select for upload e.g
Select Newer Local, Recently Modified etc
