..exe and .swf are not mutually exclusive. You have to have a .swf file
to upload it. Uploading it is no problem whatsoever - same as uploading
any other type of file. Same is true with an .exe file

Now if you want to play the .swf file on a page, you have to enbedded it
in the page.

What do you mean by "upload a .exe file onto Dreamweaver"? Nothing gets
"uploaded onto Dreamweaver". Are you trying to provide a way for user to
upload EXE and SWF file via your web site? Are you trying to display an
SWF file on your page? Are you trying to run an EXE within your page?
Are you trying to upload EXE and SWF files to your FTP server so others
can download them? ...???

well i am buliding a games site and minclip will let people download games and
put them onto there site.
when the games is downloaded it is a .exe file, but when i took a look to see
what format minclip played the game in it was a swf therefor i assumed there
would be some way of changeing from exe to swf .

i think you might need to explain, in detail, exactly what it is you're
trying to do.

There is NO relationship between an EXE file (which is a machine executable
file), and a SWF file (which is a streaming vector graphic file).

You are trying to convert apples to oranges. Perhaps the exe file is a
self-extracting zip archive of the swf file?

You need to build the game in flash, make it as a swf and put it on a page
in DW.
If you want them to be able to play the game offline, you will also need to
make the game in some other programming language, and compile it as an
executable, then zip it up, and create a link to it on your website.
These are your two options.
