Default Upgrade didn't upgrade - produced new programs - 07-19-2004 , 06:41 PM

Hi,

Is this something new with DWMX 2004? I purchased the studio upgrade from MX
to 2004. I thought something was funny when it did not ask for my previous
serial numbers when it was installing. Now, instead of an upgrade, all 4
programs have new program file folders so I have full versions of the MX and
full versions of the 2004 programs. Makes a real mess with DWMX because all
the extensions and my setups are still in the DWMX folder.

Should I uninstall them and try again or is this what happens now? Thanks.
Leesa

Nothing new. It's been that way since DW2 at least. Your extensions and
sites should have migrated forward when you did this upgrade, however.

Forget it.... Got brave and opened the new version. I was afraid it would
corrupt my other files if I did but it didn't. It then asked me to give the
old serial number and had me re-register online again. Quite strange but I
guess it works. Thanks. Leesa
