My "htm" directory has a number of sub-directories |
|
My website is based on a template; whenever this is changed I upload all relevant pages (which is the entire site). My "htm" directory has a number of sub-directories; when I click the htm directory to upload it asks if I want all the directory structure included, I say yes. Everything is then loaded as asked but I also get a repeat of all the sub-directories showing at the same level as the "htm". To delete all these then requires deleting all the files each one holds before I can delete 'it'. Question: Does this mean that with every change to the template I have to upload each individual directory and sub-directory? Thought it should be easier than this. |

If I understand you correctly, yes. I've always assumed the structure of the site as I see it on my system should be in the same format when I upload it, ie. my text files are all under "htm" but are then divided into separate directories for the separate sales departments in the company. The images are in the same format. Is this not the case? |

The local root folder is H:\Web05\ll05\ ; the remote host directory field has just html/ in it. |

Sorry for the delay in response... but yes. At this point they both have the directories: htm, images, p7pm, templates as well as the file "index". The directories 'htm' and 'images' both have sub-directories in which to house-keep the data/images for 4 different departments. |
