Hi Brett,
The easiest way is to use a template for your pages. First, create the
template and be sure to use editable regions for ALL sections of the page
where you have content that will be unique on any page within the
site(otherwise they will "update" too, wiping out whatever is in that area
and you'll be tearing your hair out.) Insert the navbar into the template
but don't make it an editable region. Save the template(it goes into the
template folder in the root directory, DW will create it if it doesn't exist
yet)....then attach the template to each page you want the navbar on. When
you need to update the navbar you'll open the template(not a page) and edit
from there. When you save the template it will prompt you to update all
pages which use the template(ie all pages with the navbar). Click yes and
you're done....

Hi All - newbie here,
How do I add a navigation menu in DW-MX so that when I change it, the menu
is updated on all pages of the web. I don't want to have to change the nav
menu on every page each time I add something. The menu will be either an
applet of Fireworks pop-up - not sure yet.
thanks in advance |
