Or try a virtual machine emulator -

I use VMWare Workstation, and have some experience with Connetix Virtual
PC -- both of these packages allow for any type of operating system /
environment to be be booted up.
VMWare also provides a nice virtual networking environment amongst the
virtual machines -- so a web server "machine" can run while a windows 98
"machine" can runs as a client.
A fast computer with lots of RAM is required -- but it's probably cheaper in
the long run -- and much more flexible.
Another advantage - I have a tendency to crash my PC -- especially trying
beta software. With the virtual machines, I can just copy the image
whenever I need a clean one -- much faster than rebuiling a PC from
scratch... |
