Default Traning from the Source DW2004MX - PHP question - 07-19-2004 , 05:59 AM

I am going through the database tutorial and building the Newland site, using
PHP, developing on a remote server. I have set up the conn_newland connection
as described on page 253, and tested the connection successfully.
But when I try to expand conn_newland in the Database panel to explore the
structure of the database (as instructed on page 254), no database is found.

What am I doing wrong? WHere does the database have to be (both locally and/or
remotely) for the program to find it?

Thanks.

Avive,
no idea about the Newland stuff, but a typical PHP/MySQL site would be
....mysql/data/myfoldername/tablenames
....apache/htdocs/mysitename/myfiles
Does the tutorial include the database? Do you need to copy it to the
requisite folder?

Craig
Or with IIS, 'twould be Inedtpub/wwwroot/mysitename/data or files
(only remote is really needed)
