Default Timeline w/src change causing trouble - 11-15-2004 , 07:42 PM

Hello! I added a timeline that changes the source on an image in order to
alternate between two equal size images (text saved as jpeg in Adobe
photodeluxe business edition) See... stevestackpole.com When my website is
open on my computer, the timeline interferes with surfing the web. It happens
in time with the 'blinking' between the two words. Is there a way to fix this?
It is annoying. Thanks. Steve

How are you changing the source? With SetTextOfLayer? Or how?

Here are the steps I took... - Select and drag 1st image to Timelines to create
a timeline - Select- 'Modify'>'Timeline'>'Add Keyframe' - Select a keyframe by
clicking on the small keyframe circle in the Timelines panel - Go to Property
Inspector and Change 'Src' manually by clicking on folder icon and file with
alternate source - Select next Keyframe in series and switch source back to
first file, and so on. Thanks for any advice! Steve

What happens is it blinks the 'stop' button and it interferes with typing an
address while I have my website open. I like the alternating text so I hope
it's something correctable. I use the website quite a bit.

Honestly, you'll be so much better off by discarding this notion of using
timelines and simply finding a 3rd party javascript routine to do the image
rotation for your page (there are hundreds of them). The bandwidth
requirements of the timeline code are heavy, indeed. And by going this way,
I'm sure you will eliminate your other problem. Is this a possibility?
