you could check for any Accessiblity options built into your operating
system to zoom the screen (might be an optional install)

if it's a table and you're having trouble clicking into empty cells- you can
select the <table> tag and set it's cellpadding/cellspacing to 5 or 10 while
working on it. This is about what the extended table mode in 2004 does.

If you're on Windows go to Start>Run... and type 'magnify'.
