Testing of database connection

Is there a way to test the connection of my database using asp script? cause my web page is having problem connecting it i wonder why? and i have try many ways including dsnless is there other ways?

Can you make sure"Show friendly HTTP error messages" is turned off (which will
give more information on the error), then view the page and copy/paste the
Error 500 message and description here so we can see it?

To turn off "Show freindly Http error messages" in IE:

Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > uncheck "Show friendly HTTP error
messages" under "Browsing"

Ya thanks for the adivse and i got this error ADODB.Recordset error '800a0e7d'
on web? but it didn't happen on my local computer. Do you think is the web
server having the problem or could be my error, I'm using Dreamweaver MX, asp
script.
