Don't keep us in suspense, Nadia!! How is it working?

....and how long will the tedious process of transferring files go on? :-(

We're sorry. Your test post didn't work. Please recheck your settings
and try again.

Isn't it amazing, when you move to a new PC, how many little tweaks and
settings you find that you've done over the course of the time you used
your old one? Then you get on the new 'puter and find that they don't
work and you have to redo them? (I map Calculator to Ctrl-Alt-L; I get
confused when it doesn't work...)

YAY is right.... had to hold my breath a few times since yesterday. My
2nd HD wasn't being read by the new PC - saw all my backups go up in smoke!!

All is now well Even all my numerous email folders were imported
correctly - phew !!

Nice to be back

Nadia

It is super !! I now have a 19" Sony LCD monitor and I'm in heaven :-D I
also have an old 800*600 2nd monitor connected and have dual screens working
perfectly. DW and FWs were the first programs I installed and I have no
problems with moving panels between screens.

I've been working for hours now reinstalling software - just as well I'm
organised and have a hard copy print out of all pwds and serial numbers etc
.. It's been pretty smooth sailing (after a few heart stoppoing moments with
a problems reading 2nd HD with backups), but won't really know until I have
been back to working normally and find see if my workflow continues "as was"
or if I've forgotten to configure software to the way it was previously.

So for now, I'm a very happy lady :-)

Nadia

As I said in my post to Bonnie, it won't be until I get back into doing my
everyday work, and remember that I had to tweak something or other to suit
my workflow

Right now, I'm in heaven, new LCD monitor, dual monitor setup that is
working beautifully - a super fast pc - what more could I ask for :-)

Oh yeah, may be one of those diamond trinkets I found on that tiffany.com
site I visited the other day
