I think you would need to look at your page in code view and take out anything you may have placed inside the template region markers (or move the end marker possibly) until the template region looks like it did in the original template file (you can compare the files visually if necessary). I think the template regions show as gray text in code view. I'm making this remark off the top of my head. Someone else might have a better suggestion. |

It seems that the template doohickey (!) has some difficulty with <div> tags that contain 'style="blah; blah;" |
|
and if you forget a closing quote (my bad!) then it starts hiccuping pretty nastily. |

I still don't really see the difference between answering "Yes save changes" and "No don't save changes," because it seems to monkey with the code no matter which response you choose. |

Thanks for your replies. Going into code view worked. It took some stripping and tweaking. It seems that the template doohickey (!) has some difficulty with <div> tags that contain 'style="blah; blah;" and if you forget a closing quote (my bad!) then it starts hiccuping pretty nastily. I did fix it, thought. Thanks! I get nervous when I start using templates. Sometimes they behave famously well. Other times, it gives that "code outside editable" message and it is frustrating as hell to undo the damage. I still don't really see the difference between answering "Yes save changes" and "No don't save changes," because it seems to monkey with the code no matter which response you choose. Thanks for your tips. Staying away from design view while fixing the problem seems to be the key. Dean |

The best bet is to not get into the situation in the first place! |
