Template Selector annoyance

Okay all,
I know that DW "dynamically" creates the selector objects for repeatable
template items.
I am writing a new series of fairly complex templates for Contribute 3 and am
getting really frustrated with how they overlap and cause the end user to have
to struggle to click the right selector depending on the template layout.
What I am struggling with right now is a template what creates predefined
table rows and cells. The works beautifully, except the row and cell selectors
are positioned directly on top of each other.
