tables - uniform column widths?

Hi everybody, I'm new here so sorry if this has been covered already. I'm
having trouble figuring out how to make all columns in a table the same width.
There's got to be a way!

select all the columns in the table in design mode then using the properties
window set the width.

To select all the columns, slect the top left one and then holing the mouse
button move to the bottom right one.

That will set the suggested minimum width for the columns. If the
content of a particular cell exceeds the specified width, the column
WILL be expanded as necessary.
