Tables

I have a little problem, cannot create tables, I selected Basic Page and HTML
for start, when trying to insert a table Insert>Table appears dimmed (not
available) the 'Insert Table' under the Common tab is also deactivated, the
only way that works is the 'Tables' tab, but here's more, the insert table
dialog box seems to work fine, but when insert the table does not allow me to
select cells to merge them or change them.

Any suggestion on this? I'm about to re-install the program...

if you are in Layout Mode, get the heck out of it and forget that it's
available.

dw menu-->View-->Tables-->Regular Table Editing
