table widths as %

hi,

I have developed a table with two columns, the left column holds a vertical
navigation bar which is nested, the width of this column is set to the same
width as the nested navigation bar. the second column has no set width. the
table has a width of 100%. This all looks fine when opened in a browser.

in the second colmun I have placed another nested table, I have set the table
width @ 100% and made the 3 columns of equal width (unspecified) but when
displyed in the browser each column has a different width, all columns have
text in them and no images other than a spacer.

where am I going wrong?

What happens if you specify the col widths at 33% 34% 33% ?

that worked very well, this question has been bugging me for weeks and I've avoided using % until now..... from now on there is no way back to 600 px tables!

Whats was wrong with 600px width tables? You should be able to control
anything?

yeh, I find them really easy in laying out the info. but in this instance,
autostretch is the best method. I've also decided that 2 at 50% is better than
2 at 33% and 1 at 34% - when the text size is altered by the browser tools, the
two columns just look better.

I hold no truck with 600px tables...
