Table hyperlink question

I am very new to dreamweaver with little experience - I wish to create a page
using a centred table with 3 columns, the left column is my menu - when a menu
item is clicked it changes the centre or right side column. I believe i would
be best staying clear of frames as I want my page centred - but I cannot figure
out how to make one cell change another, although it would operate like a frame.

Yes, but you really don't want this. Make simple flat pages. One URL,
one document. It causes severe usability and accessibility problems
(similar to frames) to change just a little part of the page on each
menu button click. Don't do that.
