System very slow - especially Word

Hi everyone,

I am currently trialling DWMX2004 and love it, except that my system is now
running painfully slow, especially Word (2002) which often freezes and refuses
to work at all if DW is open.

As a busy web designer this is a bit of a problem! I love the new features
in DW and would be loathe to return to V4... but I am not sure I can work with
the system as it is right now.

Has anyone else experienced this? Are there any optimisation tips?

I have Win XP, Intel 1.7Ghz, 224 MB ram and loads of space - should be
sufficient shouldn't it?

I welcome any comments ( and no, uninstalling all Microsoft products isn't an
option! :-((( )

It may not be an answer but 224MB RAM sounds quite slim to me for the
software you're running.

I would aim to upgrade to at least 512MB or more. The more the better.
