Default Switching Views, Highlighting Text, Losing cursor - 10-17-2004 , 07:00 PM

Hi I'm new to these forums so sorry if this question's been asked before..

When I have Live Data View on & switch between the code and preview windows,
DW highlights everything in the window relating to where you were in the other.
This is nice but I lose my original cursor insertion point, and have to find
where you were in was code again. Is there any way of turning off this block
highlighting feature?

Is this a serious RTFM incident?

If so I apologise divided by 0
(;-P)

When you say 'preview window' do you mean design view? Are you using split
view?

Hi Murray

Thanks for your reply.
Yes I meant the design view when I said preview window. And I am using split
view. I have uploaded a screenshot of what I mean -
http://www.dr0nes.co.uk/DW.jpg

As you can see in the pic, everything in both windows is highlighted, when All
I did was refresh the dynamic data with the 'refresh' button. And now I have to
go back & find where I was editing.

Do you see what I mean?
I am used to using Homesite, where you can flick to 'preview' then back again
& continue editing without interruption. But DW has lots of nice code hinting
features ...
Is there something like a 'turn off auto-highlight feature'?
