Styling Spry driven links

I am in the process of implementing the spry and xml into one of the sites I
manage. Everything is working great, except that when you hover over the master
detail region to select a link that updates the detail region, onHover the
cursor looks like it is just hovering over text. I use CSS quite a bit, and
though I am not a master, I am pretty confortable with it. I have tried to make
onHover classes for the links, but it doesnt show the onHover effect. I have
went through your XML video tutorials, the spry tutorials etc, and none of that
give an answer.
