Default strict validations and form errors: What does this mean please? - 07-31-2004 , 03:34 PM

Hi there,

I ran my form page though the validator and got a few errors that I don't
quite understand. Here they are:

1.. Line 72, column 46: there is no attribute "name"

<form method="post" action="index.php" name="city_form" class="clearer">

Line 81, column 57: document type does not allow element "input" here;
missing one of "p", "h1", "h2", "h3", "h4", "h5", "h6", "div", "pre",
"address", "fieldset", "ins", "del" start-tag

2.. ...en" name="business_category" value=""> <input type="hidden"
name="business_

The mentioned element is not allowed to appear in the context in which
you've placed it; the other mentioned elements are the only ones that are
both allowed

Thanks

Michelle

Oft times, errors like this are caused by another error somewhere in the
surrounding code. Perhaps, if you post the URL of the page, someone can spot
the problem.
