Default strange result in ie on the mac - 08-03-2004 , 02:54 PM

I have a sidebar in which I have placed seven cells, each containing a
roll-over image. All the art for the roll-over images (buttons linking to
other pages) were produced in FW, and all consist of text on a rectangular
field, on a transparent background. They were all exported as gifs with alpha
transparency. The first and the sixth buttons are on larger (taller, not
wider) than normal transparent canvases to position the buttons properly in the
sidebar.

This all works perfectly, except when viewed in internet explorer on the Mac,
in which case the buttons are positioned much lower in the sidebar. At the
suggestion of Murray and others, I have tried several ways to position the
buttons. The results are always the same -- perfect on the pc in various
browsers, perfect on the mac on browsers other than ie, and wrong on the Mac in
internet explorer.

Can anyone explain?

With much appreciation
Richard

ps. If this problem sounds familiar, I started it once before, but can't
locate that conversation now. Sorry, but I still need to find a solution.

I've had a similar problem, but infortunately I do not know of any solutions. In fact, on the Mac version 5.2.3 of IE won't even show timelines. The Safari browser works just fine. Any suggestions?

The site is in a temporary holding folder. To see it, go to

www.arrica.com/AFA

The AFA must be in caps
