Hi Murry, I have been still attempting to place an SSI into a layer, lol not only an SSI but all kinds of content, be it a image/ SSI/ flash or whatever, any way I have found a brilliant free extension to do this, The extension is called "Url into Layer", http://jjooee.media3.net/extensions.html it is really brilliant, now this means I can have a thumbnail when clicked will show a layer with a larger pic and some content inside it, the good thing about using this extension means THE BIG IMAGE AND CONTENT only loads when the thumbnail is clicked and not when the page loads, this is a really really wonder extension that has many possibilities and is free lol. this does mean that now one can have a page with lots of content and that the page does not need to be refreshed to see it. I did find that it had a small bug, that been one had to apply a "return false" into the link like below. ;return false a href="javascript:;" onClick="MM_showHideLayers('Layer1','','show');MFX _loadURL('Layer1','bimbo.a sp');return false">hello</a></ any way it works a treat and this will open many doors. regards Towcan's |

It's a nice extension. I love the things that jjooee does. I wouldn't use if, however, for the purpose you describe, simply because it is not bookmarkable. But if it works for you, then.... -- Murray --- ICQ 71997575 Team Macromedia Volunteer for Dreamweaver MX (If you *MUST* email me, don't LAUGH when you do so!) ================== news://forums.macromedia.com/macromedia.dreamweaver - THE BEST WAY TO GET ANSWERS ================== http://www.dreamweavermx-templates.com - Template Triage! http://www.projectseven.com/go - DW FAQs, Tutorials & Resources http://www.dwfaq.com - DW FAQs, Tutorials & Resources http://www.macromedia.com/support/search/ - Macromedia (MM) Technotes ================== "two can's" <GuinnessDrinker (AT) thebar (DOT) com> wrote in message news:cdemgl$92e$1 (AT) forums (DOT) macromedia.com...
