Default Spry pop-up menus vs. behavior-based issue - 12-15-2007 , 05:14 PM

Hello Dreamweaver Brainiacs...

I was one (maybe the only one ) who actually used single level
"behavior"-java-based pop-up menus in Version CS2 and prior. I used them to
pop-up from trigger items such as small inset photos or a words in lines of
text...nothing complex. I know the general feeling Dreamweaver pros have toward
this pop-up menu building option, but for the simplicity of my needs, it worked
just fine for me.

Now comes the Spry menu bar, which is fine, but not close to what I was able
to create before. I'm not interested in a dictated "bar", just a simple pop-up
menu, triggered from what I desire as mentioned above. I also noted that the
old way has been deprecated.

Can anyone give advice in creating my need in CS3? I don't want to have to
toggle back and forth between CS2 and 3. And yes, I am aware of some extensions
that are available, but they tend to act like Spry menus as well.

Thanks, folks...

Those sentiments were directed at DW8 and earlier. If, by CS2, you meant
DW8, then they would apply to your use as well.

Perhaps only because you didn't really understand the problems. Read about
them from the person who adapted the code for Macromedia to use in those DW
versions -

Yes, thankfully.

Then you have not looked at the right ones. Have you been to the PVII site?
And perhaps you can explain what you mean by "like Spry menus"?
