Default - Specifying width variable for form elements... best way? - 08-03-2004 , 01:38 PM

Applying style="width=500" to form elements is a gamble.

It works in Netscape and IE for submit buttons.

It only works in IE for live text areas.

Is there a way for me to modify my syntax to ensure a maximum of
compatibility?

I'm trying to lock a specific dimension on these form elements, most notably
the text fields.

Thanks!

Try style="width:500px;".

Any idea why it won't work on type="file" text fields in Netscape?

ie, text field that specifies file location.

Works everywhere else.
