Default Source formatting DIV-tags - 07-18-2004 , 04:39 PM

Hi,

Using DMX2004 I have a problem using 'apply source formatting'. If I use
only css styled DIV's in my page, no source formatting whatsoever happens
leaving me with barely readable code like below. This functionality does not
even apply the formatting as defined in the Tag Library, let alone that it
shows the nesting structure of the DIV tags. How can this be solved. This is
especially importatnt to me as I want to move away as far as possible from
traditional layout using tables. I have seen some similar posts on the
topic, but no solution was provided. By the way: running 7.01 here.

Thanks,

John

Example of troublesome source formatting:
<body> <div id="main"> <div id="header"><span class="topMenu"><a
href="#">Link1</a> :: link 2 :: link 3 :: link 4 :: link 5 </span></div>
<div id="navigation"><a href="#" target="_top">link1</a> <a href="#"
target="_top">link2</a> <a href="#" target="_top">link3</a> <a href="#"
target="_top">link4</a> <a href="#" target="_top">link5</a> <a href="#"
target="_top">link6</a> <a href="#" target="_top">link7</a> <a href="#"

An advise to change editor would also be welcome if Dreamweaver is simply
not the tool for this. Just state your suggestion ;-).
