To create a link to an audio file:

-Select the text or image you want to use as the link to the audio file.
-In the Property inspector, click the folder icon to browse for the
audio file, or type the file's path and name in the Link text box.

To embed an audio file:

In Design view, place the insertion point where you want to embed the
file and do one of the following:

-In the Common category of the Insert bar, click the Media button and
select the plug-in icon.
-Select Insert > Media > Plugin.
-In the Property inspector, click the folder icon to browse for the
audio file, or type the files path and name in the Link text box.
-Enter the width and height by entering the values in the appropriate
text boxes or by resizing the plug-in place holder in the Document
window. These values determine the size at which the audio controls are
displayed in the browser.

STANDARD DISCLAIMER: Sound on a web site is usually a bad thing. It annoys
people more then engages them. It can be destracting (if reading something
else, for example), embarrassing (if it starts playing at work), or just
annoying (if I'm already listening to MY music via my computer).

OK, so if after reading that you still want to do it, I'd suggest that the
best way is to embed the music in a flash file that allows the end-user to
stop it or change the volume.

The catch is that on each page load, you need to start/stop the music again.
To get around that, you can put the flash file in a separate window or
frame, though that can cause other issues.
