Can I snap a layer to a cell rather than to an image? If so how. If not, why not? THanks |

Hi again, you can if you give the <td> an id, then you'll see the cell id in the snap layer dialogue box. not sure if it works for all browsers but seems to in IE6 on PC. Murray, I said I wasn't sure. If you know it won't, it might be helpful to say so, perhaps pointing out which ones and why so we all may learn :-)tks. hmmm...straight forward for womeone who knows how to do something like that. I want to snap one layer to another layer because I want a drop down menu (the anchor layer) to have a sub menu (the snapped layer). As I have the main menu layer snapped to the image that triggers it to appear it is going to move with the image. Because I want it to have a submenu I want the submenu to move with it. I suppose I could snap them both to the same image so they will move the same distance, but it just seems to make more sense to snap to the layer itself. It sounds like you think this is a bad idea. Any reasoning? Im all ears. Thanks |

woops wrong response...(above) That was for snapping a layer to a layer.... I want to snap a layer to a cell because I don't really want to put an image in the cell. I can put a transparent gif spacer type image, but that still takes up room and throws off the padding etc. AND/OR I would like to center the layer on an expanding cell that has an image that is aligned left. The layer stayes centered while the image remains left. Make sense? |
