I'm trying to do some analyses on a large website (some 30,000 pages...)
in terms of (say) how many .htm, .gif, .jpg, .pdf files in each of the
dozen or so root-level folders (the whole sub-tree). Ideally I'd also
like to analyse a date profile of specific file types (.htm, .pdf say)
in each sub-tree.
Any suggestions of easy, semi-automatic ways of doing this (and
*without* lots of techy stuff like programming!)? I've got some bits of
file management software (Ztree in particular *) that will have a fair
stab at this, but it involves a lot of manual counting etc - error
prone, and also it's something I'm planning to repeat on a monthly basis
for a few months so a lazy (shareware?) solution seems the best. Xenu's
Linksleuth will produce some info but not I think what I want, whilst I
can't think of any way of automating this within DW (MX).
