I saved my photoshop originals as .png(liked how everything looked) and added content in fireworks. Out of fireworks I saved some of the slices as jpeg's and some as gifs. There is a slight difference in the background color between some of the slices. How do I fix this? Thanks, -Bill |

Use GIFs only. You will never be able to match colors between GIF and JPG because of the lossy compression in a JPG image. |

OK, then you would have to adjust the background of the GIF/PNG to the background of the compressed JPEG. And you would have to re-adjust it after every change to the JPEG ... Micha |

"Never" is an exaggeration. Mathemetically speaking, probably not. JPGs average data and introduce randomness to a file to compress it. The very nature of JPG shifts the colors in an image. You could get incredibly close...probably indiscernable to the eye/monitor, but they'd probably still be slightly out of wack if you look at the bits and bytes ;o) -Darrel |
