Site Search Facility

Hi,

I have been using the google plugin site search facility on my site for a long
time with great success.

However i have recently encountered a problem due to a change of server and
domain, and would like to know of any alternative ways of setting up a search
facility, be it through tutorials or alternative dw extensions.

Basically the problem is that there are two http addresses for the website,
one for internal use, and one for external use. www.lmcs.lmc.ac.uk versus
www.lmc.ac.uk

If i point the google plugin at the external home page, and run the search
from an external machine, everything works fine. But if i run it from an
internal machine, the search facility produces pages that don't technically
exist, so staff and students can't view them.

Any ideas please?
