Default site root relative paths - 07-14-2004 , 06:26 AM

Hi

I have been running DWMX2004 for several months and have 50 plus sites
defined. As of last week sometime, DW seems to have been creating URLs in
site-root relative form with a leading /. This is messing up all of my links (
I usually use doc relative paths). I cannot see why this is happening, but has
occurred on each of the last three sites I have worked on, which are all 'old'
sites which were functioning correctly previously. Therefore I can only think
that it's a Dreamweaver generic settings level thing rather than a site
specific thing, but I cannot find out how to switch it off.

If anyone could advise I would be most grateful.

Dan

If you inadvertantly switch to site root relative in one link, then
Dreamweaver will continue writing all links like that until you switch
back. Create a link anywhere in your site and use the browse button on
the Property Inspector to find the linked document. In the "Select File"
window, set "Relative To" to Document. Finish creating the link and now
all subsequent links will be doc relative until you actively switch it
again.

Thanks Al

Rather embarrassing, not sure why I didn't try that. Couldn't see the wood for the trees!
