Greetings to all... I'd like to get some thoughts on the best method of simple site management between a small clinet and solo web designer. I have a standard Dreamweaver 'local and remote' site set up, but the remote site is not at the root level of the clients' server - but in a sub folder. Once I have uploaded my site to this sub folder, my client likes to check it and make any minor text changes (technical info, latest FAQ type stuff) and then he 'copies it to the live (root) area' of his server. This gives a triangular arrangement of 'my local site' - 'my remote site' - and the 'live site'. Client is currently using a text editor for these minor tasks - but wants to handle things in a better way. Any suggestions on the appropriate tools and best way to manage this arrangement so there is ease of updating with minimum work? Thanks, |
