Default Site Folder Won't Stay Closed - 02-01-2005 , 08:03 AM

With my site folder structure at the root level I have a folder containing
source psd images. Whenever I close this folder in the file view and open any
other folder the psd folder expands as well. Nothing I do seems to correct
this. Has anyone else had this issue?

I've had this same problem recently. Here's what I did to get it to work
correclty again.

First, I exported the site to save the settings. You have to make a note of
vss settings if you use source control, because they don't get exported.

Then I deleted the site from the site management screen.

Next, I shut down dreamweaver and went into Documents and
Settings/yourLoginHereApplication data/Macromedia/Dreamweaver MX
2004/Configuration/sitecache. I renamed everything that had the same name as
my site. There was a folder , a .txt file and a .dws file.

I restarted dreamweaver and imported the file I had originally exported, added
back my vss settings and everything started working again.

Hope that helps.

Yes, I have a similar problem. I have many sub-folders within my IMAGES
folder. I collapse sub-folder-x and close the IMAGES folder. But
everytime I re-open the IMAGES folder sub-folder-x is expanded. As in
your case, nothing I do stops that from happening.

Thanks for the detailed instructions. I've never exported my site ,although I'm
syncing multiple times per day with a remote test server. I'm also making
daily backups to CD since I'm concerned about losing work. I'll definitely give
your solution/fix a try, but if anything goes wrong can I import one of my
backups?
