Default site definitions stored where? os x - 06-01-2006 , 10:59 AM

I need to migrate my site definitions and settings. Unfortunately I am unable
to export import from Dreamweaver due to a problem with my old computer.
(An iMac G4 with a dead screen. So I am only able to access the data on the HD
by booting it up as an external firewire drive to my new Mac.)
I am unable to run the old version of Dreamweaver in order to perform the
standard export / import process.

So the question is: where does Dreamweaver store the site configuration
data so I can drag and drop from the old comp to the new,

thank u

It depends on what version of DW you are running. In DW8, they're here:

/Users/[username]/Library/Application
Support/Macromedia/Common/8/Sites/Site Prefs

thanks Randy - yes Dreameaver 8.

That got me half way there. DW is now showing my sites, however none of the username and pw info has transferred.
Where would I find that?

thank u

Starting with Version 8, DW uses the facilities builtin to the OS for
storing ids and passwords, so you may need to re-enter that manually.

If you have a previous version of DW installed, you might try migrating
the old sites.

Also, if you had exported any of the Sites to disk, then you can also
copy the .ste file.

HTH,
Randy
