Default Site Configuration: Multiple Users - 05-01-2006 , 05:55 PM

We have an intranet site with 20,000+ files and 20+ Dreamweaver authors. With a
site this size it's impracticle for each of us to copy and maintain a local
copy and keep it sychronized with the remote site, which is a staging server.
I want to know if anyone has defined the Local site to be the staging server,
forgoing the Dreamweaver recommended C drive site and the problematic issues
with that configuration. I can't possibly be the only one in the user
community with this issue.

I think it's a recipe for catastrophe to have that many users sharing the
same local site. But your best bet would be to contact Macromedia/Adobe
directly to see what they can offer.

Thanks, Murray. It can't possibly be worse than our current nightmare. Again,
I can't believe others are not having the same sync issues. I will contact
Adobe for help and then post their response here for all to see.
All the best,
Rick
