simple rollover

hi all

I just need to get a simple rollover effect on buttons. when I go to insert rollover, and put in the name and click on the "browse" button to get my image , it totally crashes , with absolutely no warning box., HELP!!

that diagnosing such problems is very hard without complete information
about your computer and its operating environment. Can you please tell me -

0. What is your version of Dreamweaver? And when you right click on the DW
executable, what is the build number you see in the properties panel?
1. What is your OS?
2. What is your AntiVirus?
3. Is your AntiVirus doing realtime protection?
4. What is your Firewall?
5. What other background programs are running?
6. What extensions do you have installed?
7. Where are your 'local' files? Are they on a network shared drive?
8. Have you ever been able to run DMX or is this a recent failure?
9. Does this only seem to happen with certain files/sites?
10. Does recreating the site cache (SITE | Recreate Site Cache) help?

6.0 Dreamweaver MX. I also tried the upgrade 6.1 and it did the same thing.

OSX Jag

Virex

3. Is your AntiVirus doing realtime protection?
No, Cause I totally got rid of it. deleted it and DW is still having the same problem.

4. What is your Firewall?
just the one that comes with OSX. I had norton firewall running for a while , but I got rid of that too.

5. What other background programs are running?
I dont know , just the normal system things. I didnt add any background stuff. if thats what that means. excuse my ignorence

6. What extensions do you have installed?
No extensions installed

7. Where are your 'local' files? Are they on a network shared drive?
No they're on the same drive DW is on .

8. Have you ever been able to run DMX or is this a recent failure?
I've been able to run it , but I never tried that rollover command from the insert menu, I've always just made navigation menus , and that worked fine , but that quit sometimes too. but using the insert rollover, quits it EVERYTIME.

9. Does this only seem to happen with certain files/sites?
no it happens with all files.

10. Does recreating the site cache (SITE | Recreate Site Cache) help?
I even tried it on brand new files, with no sites attached to them.

I think you should upgrade to the 6.1 release just because of the bug fixes
that have been made in that release. In addition, I do not see anything
unusual in your answers below.

I'd recommend you contact Macromedia directly.
