I don't know what the second argument is - perhaps there used to be one in
earlier iterations of this code that is no longer needed and they left it
there for backwards compatibility?
Sure - it'll work fine when externalized.

Anyone know what the 2nd argument is for in MM_showHideLayers?
ie. MM_showHideLayers('layer','','visibility') -[the '' argument]-
Also, any reason this function shouldn't work in an external .js file?
