Default "A sharing violation occured..." - 09-22-2008 , 02:46 PM

While modifying a DW template, I suddenly began receiving sharing violation
error messages which disallow saving the file and thus, updating the html pages
based on the template. As I am the only one to use the program, I consider this
some sort of glitch--any idea how to get around it (in preferences or
elsewhere?)?

Is your local site on a remote, network shared drive?

Hi Murray; just the local drive. The fundamental problem is that for some
reason .dwt files have difficulty in opening in IE7; you get an Open or Save
dialogue panel instead. Each time, another panel... So the next time I
previewed in Firefox, I got the message... Any idea why IE does this?

That's because IE doesn't know what to do with a *.dwt file, since that
extension only means something to DW. Enable preview with temp files in
your PREFERENCES, and then you'll be able to preview OK.
