Default Setting up a site - 07-03-2004 , 05:22 AM

I have an existing and live website developed with HTML KIt:
http://www.willametteweb.us/sidebar.php and no home page--"/index.php"--
content.

Can some please explain to me, "How to import and existing web site into
Dreamweaver to where all of the files correspond to the source code--as was
previously designed by another program?"

I just doesn't make sense to me that when you open a file in Dreamweaver you
get the proper source code, but not the content.

How can I make this work for me? Thanks.

Did you set up your site using the original folder - including ALL of the
contents (images, html, php, asp or whatever) - as the ´Local Root Folder´
in DW?
If I´ve understood your Q correctly, this might be the case.

I'm not exactly sure I understand the question, but here goes.

If you have the FTP information for the site, you just create a site
definition in DW using that FTP connection information, connect to the
remote site, and GET all the files into your local site's root folder.

Or am I missing something?
