Default Searching in another search engine - 11-13-2007 , 04:46 AM

Hello all,
i have a question, which probally sounds harder than it is but i think it
should be rather simple.
could any one help me out on this?

my Q:
I have made an HTML page, in this page i would like to have an search option.
What i need is that when some one types a keyword to search, it actually takes
the keyword and searches it in an external search engine, lets say like google.
then a new window will open with the search result.
as far as i know this will require a script and all it has to do is to take
the keyword and add it to a URL. e.g
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=keyword

It depends on the search engine; they are all different. You need to read the
FAQS on the particular SE you are trying to use.
