Default Search engine woes - 10-06-2005 , 10:35 PM

I have a problem getting a site to be seen in search engines. I have tried my
best to follow current SEO standards but that doesn't appear to be working.

I have been trying to get a domain listed in Google for six months now and the
site is not even being seen in its database.

the site is http://www.specialtyfurniture.com.au

Is there something I am doing wrong in my HTML or does anyone know of some
reliable techniques to get listed (without paying a fortune in SEO fees with no
guarantee of inclusions)?

* Submit it to as many search engines as possible.
* Have more links for other sites to your site.
* Use <h1> tags for headings, search engines value headings.
* Simly increase the amount of content on your site.
* Read a forum dedicated to web help, not Dreamweaver help.

What is there for a search engine to index? I may be missing something,
but it looks like a simple one-page site, with very little text.

Don't waste your time with more than the top 3 or 4 - Google, dmoz,
overture, MSN, etc.

Outgoing links have no effect on your site. It's the incoming ones from
other highly ranked sites that help.

Increase the keyword usage in your content. Just increasing the content is
silly.

And perhaps the most important one - make sure that the title of each page
is loaded with keywords relevant to that page.

You can pretty much forget about your keywords meta tags, as they are
ignored by the big boys. Do include a description for each page, though.

Have a look at this program : http://www.hello-engines.com/. I use this on a regular basis, it has everything you need to get your site seen, but it will take time.
