Default Scrolling Area - 08-04-2004 , 03:17 PM

Hi... I am developing a website by using a template with an Editable Region to
the right of the left toolbar and under the top toolbar... I would like to
add a scrolling bar in the editable area so that when I add text, it will not
mess up my template. How do I do this? If anyone could provide any help, I
would really appreciate it. Thank you so much!

You can accomplish this effect by using an inline frame (<iframe>), and then
have a separate page for the actual content. Learn more about using inline
frames at http://www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_iframe.asp.

Your page's infrastructure is what supports the scrolling area, not the
template markup. If you are having this problem, then it has nothing to do
with the presence or absence of an editable region, but rather the presence
of poorly constructed pages.

Thank you for the help! The "W3" site and frame link is very helpful. Take care, Kristi

So, I have been trying to perfect my site using frames, and still cannot get it
exactly right. Does anyone have any example sites that I could take a look at
to compare what I have with a true "working scroll"? I think I have been
looking at this for such a long time that I am stuck. Thank you so much!
